Chinoiserie Library

Several of my blogger friends have done wonderful recent posts on libraries, books, and reading nooks. Visit Sanity Fair, Style Carrot, and Ticklish from a Distance for their posts. These are three of my daily read blogs-check them out if you haven't already.  I found this photo in my archives. I love the freestanding open Chinoiserie black lacquer bookcase. The black really pops against the yellow walls. I really like the staging of the bookcase as well with the tole palm topiaries, John Derian decoupage plates, and Chinoiserie objets d'art. What a beautiful room and a beautiful way to turn some of your beloved books into the focal point of a room. I would love this bookcase for all my interior design, gardening, and art books.

  2. That has to be the coolest bookcase I've ever seen - especially the double sides and the stair step shape. What a find. Thanks for the mention! I'm honored to be on the 'must read' list :)
