Shells and Chinoiserie

I love combining seashells and blue and white Chinese porcelain. I think the colors are wonderful together. The photo above is a shelf in my living room where I have a collection of seashells in a blue and white bowl. I especially love sea urchin shells that come in the palest of pink, lavender, green, and cream. Below is my dining room table with a pair of seashell obelisks combined with blue and white porcelain. Aren't seashells a wonderful and easy way to combine summer and Chinoiserie-two of my absolutely favorite things!

The shells stand out in the blue and white Chinese porcelain bowl and look really pretty. I love decorating with shells.

Beautful! Did you ever read the book Glue Gun Decor, (I kid not), the woman covered her mantle with nothing more than a glue gun and an ocean of shells.

Home Before Dark-Oh how fun-I know there is a book called Shell Chic that has lots of shell projects. I love the idea of a shell mantle.

Love it! I think there can be overload but sometimes the overload is good. Great shots here.
