Martha Angus

This wonderful room with its jade green de Gournay covered walls is the work of San Francisco interior designer Martha Angus for the 2005 San Francisco Decorator Showcase. I love the mix of contemporary art, antiques, classic Chinoiserie wallpaper, and fabulous color in this pared down, modern approach. She calls this an indoor garden. For more on this designer, visit her website here and this wonderful look at her work and an interview on The Style Saloniste.

What a fantastic room! I absolutely LOVE that she refers to it as an indoor garden! It looks like a room that was inherited by a younger person who couldn't be bothered with changing anything, so just piled in a few of his finds and made it work. I love it!

Scott and Kitty-I must be attracting too young a crowd to my blog-I never thought of de Gournay as grandmotherly-just elegant and gorgeous behind my wildest dreams! But then again, maybe your grandmothers are/were VERY wealthy and stylish. LOL

Breathtaking. Hello, Domino book cover. This is just the best pattern - the color is so striking. The pink is smashing with it.
