French Chinoiserie and Cote de Texas

As you know if you are a follower of Chinoiserie Chic, I am a firm believer that Chinoiserie elements work in any style home, adding elegance, sophistication, whimsy, beauty, and individuality to your space. Joni Webb from Cote de Texas has certainly shown us all that French design is alive and well in Texas. But what about Chinoiserie? Today is a little photo journal of the home, design work, and designers admired by Cote de Texas to show you how beautifully Chinoiserie melds with French interior design. All photos are courtesy of Cote de Texas.

My faves are the bookcase with the greek key motif, and the very last photo...how luxuriously inviting! Great stuff!

Such pretty decor, as always, Beth. Image 11 is so pretty. The colors are amazing -- such a decadent combination. That tall chair just makes the room special.

Have a great weekend*

I have been a fan of Chinoiserie for a long time.
You've shown some wonderful examples of how it injects a fanciful dose of the exotic into a room.
I bought a chinoiserie fireplace mantle and over mantle w/matching fire screen in the Marais in Paris. It was the best purchase I ever made!!
To see a photo of it go to my blog and click magazine feature.
