Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.  A great point to remember when setting the table for the holidays is that all blue and white china mixes beautifully together. This Spode turkey pattern below called Festival is a favorite of mine. I mix this English china with pieces from China, Japan, France, and the Netherlands, old and new, flea market to rare antique to create an eclectic and elegant Chinoiserie table.

This blue and white porcelain is gorgeous! Using this in a room is so chique! I love that! The dish wit the turkey is excellent for Thanksgiving!

Love the blue with red at this time of the year! Have a small set of Spode jumbo cup and saucers I set on red placemats for soup or cocoa. Perfect for chilly fall and winter days. Happy Thanksgiving! Trish

Beth, I missed this one yesterday. The dishes are so beautiful! Do you ever wonder if the really old pieces are truly food-safe? I don't use so many pieces that I have because I'm afraid either food will damage the dish or the glazing will damage me! xo kitty

Kitty-The Spode is not old, but I agree as to some trepidation with really old pieces.

I'd like to collect blue and white china, but I'm not sure where to look. Any suggestions?

[Found you via Joni. Love both blogs!]

Mamacita-Blue and white china is such a classic and it all mixes well together. Look on eBay, flea markets, estate sales, Replacements Ltd, Pier One, World Market, to name a few.
