Orchids for Valentine's Day

For the lover of Chinoiserie, a beautiful bouquet of orchids or a potted orchid would make a lovely Valentine's Day gift. Orchids are graceful, elegant, sophisticated, and long-lasting. A perfect symbol of your love. Above, a stunning use of orchids by Celerie Kemble and make sure you notice my favorite loop chairs.

Michael Smith

Mathilde Agostinelli

Fabulously French-note the wonderful use of a champagne bucket as a cachepot.

A lovely bouquet of orchids.

Beth, I just want to take a moment to thank you for all the hard work you do to bring these lovely blog posts to us each day. As I have my first cup of coffee in my office and prepare for my day, I am continually delighted and inspired by all that you share with us. I very much appreciate the effort that it takes to bring each one of these to fruition. Again, my heartfelt thanks! God bless!

I, too, love orchids but I am terrible at growing them. I've got a pot with one that lost its flower, has tons of stems and never flowers. Sigh.... I think I have a black thumb!

I love the Celerie Kemble room....the chandelier is beautiful. Wonder who made it?

Orchids are my favorite -- not only do they not bother my allergies, but they last for weeks.

Those blue and white tiles behind the yellow orchid are pretty fabulous too! Portuguese perhaps? Orchids do add classic beauty..great post!

Jaime-Orchids add so much to any room.

Susie-Orchids are so cheap I wouldn't worry about throwing them out after blooming if they don't rebloom for you.
