I love Chinoiserie, as you all know, and I am also a huge fan of the iconic Saarinen tulip table. Can the two beautifully coexist? Check out this stunning example above by Scott Ingram via Brilliant Asylum, and the rest below. I wonder if the Chinoiserie lamp on the table above is homage to the great William Haines? For more examples of the versatility of this table, read my post here that I did for a series on the now defunct blog We Love Domino. The answer is clearly yes.

Thought of you when I posted a photo of an 18th century Chinoiserie papered dining room last night...come see! Love your daughter's dining room...great chairs, too. Trish
The small tulip table is so cute! I didn't know they made it in that size.

Laura-Some great ideas.
Trish-Stunning-thanks for the head's up.
Sigh...I would take a beautiful Saarinen over a beautiful man any day. At least I know the Saarinen would still be beautiful in 30 years.
Beautiful images, love the little side table and didn't know it was made in that version. I posted yesterday a home in MN where the woman used a knock-off from Ikea in her breakfast room. Nothing Chinoiserie about the room though....

A Perfect Gray-Thank you for stopping by.
I just scored a fabulous marble top Saarinen table for a steal and cannot wait to get it into place in my kitchen. Trying to decide what fabric to recover my kitchen chairs in and I'm LOVING the use of the Imperial Trellis. Happy Friday!
