Blue Chinoiserie DIY

I found this room via Semigloss Chic from Horchow here. I love all the blues used together-sky blue walls, turquoise blue sofa and Chinoiserie pillows, and the cobalt blue abstract art. Quite fabulous. I've gathered some great budget friendly items to recreate this look. As for the abstract painting, paint it yourself. I've done a couple of large canvases for my home and they turned out great. This above is three smaller canvases, but it could be done instead using one large canvas if you prefer.

  1. How fun! And I love the chrysanthemum chair. Great picks. Which reminds me I soooo need a new sofa.

Also, I have bitten more than I can handle, and I'm sure you would have done a much greater job, so will you please ck this out and let me know what you think? I am sure you would have moved your designer wand and found a thousand great examples to share. :)

  2. Really terrific choices Beth. The Ikat slipper chair I have loved since they introduced it to their site. The settee is remarkable much like the one in the inspiration room.
I have done several pieces of art for our home too & put my son to work on a couple as well. Great idea when on a budget. Plus it feels great when someone visits & remarks positively on your artwork! Great post.
