Modern Chinoiserie Framed Panels

Today we look at modern versions of silk hand-painted framed panels. The Gumps version is hand-painted on rice paper. Often used in pairs, any of these would be a stunning focal point for a living room, dining room, or bedroom. The pair from The Source Collection is lovely and well priced at $1,350 for the framed pair with each panel measuring a generous 40" by 58." But depending on your budget, any of these would be wonderful additions to your home.

  8. I love this look. I used that pair from The Source Collection and they are beautiful. My only regret is failing to get good pictures before my client moved...

I would LOVE one like the first set!

  9. These panels remind me of an eighteenth-century Italian chinoiserie screen (inspired by famille vert porcelain, by the looks of it) that Aesthete's Lament recently featured. It's lot 179 in the upcoming Wrightsman sale (http://www.sothebys.com/app/ecatalogue/fhtml/index.jsp?event_id=30151#/r=index-fhtml.jsp?event_id=30151|r.main=lot.jsp?event_id=30151&id=179/).
