The Chinoiserie Boy's Nursery

When I began Chinoiserie Chic, one goal was to show Chinoiserie decor in every room of the house. After a year, I have yet to find a Chinoiserie boy's nursery, so I have decided to do a fantasy virtual one. The couple have an elegant and sophisticated home and they want the nursery for the little boy they are about to have to reflect their style in the rest of the home, which includes many lovely Chinoiserie touches. The budget is quite ample. They also wish the room to grow with the boy. I would start with Fromental for the walls in this singerie design. The soft palette and whimsical monkeys are a perfect choice for a nursery.

The beautiful sleigh crib is from Pottery Barn Kids. It looks like an heirloom and converts to a toddler bed.

This beautiful bedding is from Hillary Thomas Designs Candy Shop Collection in Salt Water Taffy in light blue and white seersucker and linen. I would have her do matching seersucker roman shades for the windows.

Kartell child's size Lou Lou Ghost Chairs from Perch

Swivel Glider from Pottery Barn Kids

Doesn't Chinoiserie work well in a boy's nursery? I hope you have found some inspiration here. For more wonderful Chinoiserie children's rooms, revisit my post here.

That's adorable, Beth! It would be fun to add some chinoiserie wallpaper in a little corner somewhere. Maybe to line the closet walls.

I love these designs..you know what? i was thinking of using some elements of chinoiserie in my office - to give it a little pizazz. Do you have any recommendations?
