Setting the Chinoiserie Table-A Mystery Solved

Those of you who remember Joe Nye's stunning apartment featured in House Beautiful in August of 2009 will remember the wonderful Chinoiserie curtains in the bedroom. This same fabric graces the tablecloth on the cover of his new book Flair. I was intrigued to find out more about the fabric, which is the same pattern as Brunschwig & Fils Le Lac, but in a pinker colorway that I love. For my post on Le Lac, click here. I contacted Mr. Nye, who explained to me that the fabric is Travers Musique Chinoise that he originally used in a Showhouse in Miami in 2006. It has since been used in three of his residences. The fabric was originally produced in linen and in glazed chintz, but the linen has been discontinued. The pattern number is #101595. Incidentally, Travers has been acquired by Zimmer & Rohde. For those of you looking for a perfect Chinoiserie fabric for your table (or anywhere), this may be it.
