Sunday Inspiration-Cloisonne

I have a feeling that vintage cloisonne is about to make a comeback in the interior design world, especially in turquoise blue like the wonderful little vignette above from House Beautiful. Cloisonne can be had for a song on eBay, Etsy, thrift stores, and estate sales. I especially like pairs of small vases, a great way to add a pop of color anywhere you like.

  1. I think you're right. I have two small vintage cloisonne vases in bright apple green and white that I've love for years. I'd love to find some in bright blues!

  2. Well that would be great...my parents have a huge collection of it having lived in Japan for about five years! It is beautiful, highly decorative and such gorgeous workmanship! Glad to know its making a comeback....will tell my parents, they will be thrilled to know they were ahead of their time when they bought it!

  3. The smaller vases are perfect to put a bud or two in. Placed on a table or work desk, it really brings a cheerful note. I have some of these treasures in my collection, they never go out of style.

  5. Thought I'd say hi. I'm a continual lurker and I'm feeling chatty today. My home is slightly chinoserie (ish) and I'm a big fan of cloisonne in jewelry. I do imagine the right piece as furniture/decor would be incredible.
