One Room Challenge Chinoiserie Series

Barbara from Hodge: Podge used Chinoiserie to add pops of color to a dark, patternless, and monochromatic living room. Note the Schumacher Chiang Mai Dragon pillows, the blue and white ginger jar print from The Pink Pagoda, a red lacquer tray, the blue and white Chinese porcelain bowl, and the sideboard lacquered red. A great example of how even a small dose of Chinoiserie can take a room from dull to dazzling.

  1. Stunning Beth. I have Chinese red stack tables, blue and white ceramics, garden stools etc. I love the mix!

  5. So "jacking her style." I have been round & round on what to paint the back of my bookcases & decided on black the minute I saw her room. Great fabrics on the pillows.
