Sunday Inspiration

I'm crazy about this living room by Jamie Meares of Furbish from Lonny magazine. I especially love the use of color, the abstract modern art, the Chinese garden stools, the blue and white Chinese porcelain, the pink piping on the chairs, and the gold Harry Allen pig. These Harry Allen pig banks are multiplying at my house - I have one in gold, one in silver, gave one to my daughter in gold, and want another in pink. Are the ruffled curtains homage to Miles Redd? I have yet to embrace this look. I do love unlined curtains, but sans ruffles and in silk. Two rules here to follow - go BIG in art and in chandeliers for a wonderful sense of drama.

Just total loveliness--I love the artwork. P.S. Target has cute chinoiserie note cards in hot pink!!

I have missed your lists, CC. Your Joe Nye list is perfection!

Seriously cool cocktail table. The stylist in me wonders why it's not centered directly under the chandy, though.

Love the pops of colour and the artwork above the fireplace is gorgeous. Have a lovely day.

I'm with you on the curtains. Otherwise I like this room a lot!
