Thomas Jayne and a DIY

When I saw this room above by Thomas Jayne I was of course first drawn to the stunning Gracie Chinoiserie wallpaper. What I would love to copy though is this Parsons table in pale blue edged in gold. I love the combination of the clean lines of Parsons with Chinoiserie. Couldn't this be done using a West Elm Parsons table or an Ikea Lack table with a tiny brush and gold paint or even a gold pen? I am crazy about the Krylon Gold Leafing pen. I use it on anything that doesn't move.

I found the rest of this beautifully decorated apartment on his website.

The living room mural is hand painted on canvas

A beautiful pair of Chinoiserie cabinets topped by a pair of foo dogs with a Venetian mantel and chairs

Mirrored panels between the arched windows and ice blue taffeta curtains

A Chinese garden stool and turquoise Chinese vase next to the sofa

A striped tented dining room

An eglomise Chinoiserie panel by James Mont above the sideboard

Gorgeous bullion fringe on the library sofa
