Jeffrey Bilhuber - Pops of Chinoiserie

Jeffrey Bilhuber
Sometimes I find a room that I love but don't post about it because it doesn't have any Chinoiserie elements. When I saw this room on Little Green Notebook, I immediately sent it off to a client as we are thinking about doing contrasting cushions on her sofa. But then on closer examination, I spotted the pagoda pillow on the chair and the turquoise ceramic single gourd lamp. So here you are - a wonderful room by Jeffrey Bilhuber with Chinoiserie touches!

That wall of art is fantastic. Looks like one is a mirror.
Loving the green lampshade on the blue lamp and the blue finial.
Such a fun mix of chairs and that pair of tufted blue chairs is fabulous.
I love the contrasting tiger cushions on the sofa.
Note how Chinoiserie is used here to add pops of color to a room with lots of neutrals.

Yeah, it works for me, too.

The interesting pops of color and detail make the room go from just so to fabulous! Those blue chairs, OMG!

There is something so refreshing about this room, and I could park myself there for several years quite happily. Not traditional, not Outré, it's quite lovely. I want it. Now. Says the spoiled brat in the Wonka factory....
