A Chinoiserie Christmas - Mary McDonald's Dining Room
Isn't this gorgeous? I especially love the way she integrates Chinoiserie - pagodas, a blanc de Chine figure, and a Chinese jar with the paperwhites and greenery on the sideboard.
I love everything that woman does. She is brilliant! And I wish I had seen this post before I wrote my post today about oversize chandeliers - that first image illustrates my point perfectly!
I have 50 paperwhites growing at my house but I keep them as far from the dining room as possible. Though I love the look of that table, they would ruin a good meal with their overpowering fragrance!
I grew up in Europe and Lake Forest, Illinois. After graduating from The Ferry Hall School, Bryn Mawr College, and George Washington University Law School, I practiced law in Washington, D.C. Now I am finally devoting my time to two of my great passions - interior design and Chinoiserie.
