The Real I'm a Giant Challenge Reveal

So many of you have written wondering whatever happened to the I'm a Giant Challenge dollhouse "contest" organized by Emily Henderson. I revealed my Chinoiserie Chic dollhouse on time on December 15th. Then when Emily extended the challenge to February 1st late on the day of the reveal with absolutely no warning, I decided to do my second Chinoiserie dollhouse "Dragon House" that I revealed on February 1st. Again the February deadline passed without a word from Emily. She has stayed mute to date on it.  I hate to inject negativity into this beautiful Chinoiserie world that is Chinoiserie Chic, so I have not complained publicly before now about Emily's utter lack of style and manners in the way she has handled this.

I would like to link you to several posts for those of you would like some closure or at least a wrap up.

*Two Wonderful Posts here and here by Modern Mini Dollhouses with photos and links of the dollhouses of the 82+ participants she was able to round up. This took loads of time and effort - thank you so much!

*An Open Letter to Emily Henderson yesterday by blogger Tiny Fixation/Large and in Charge entitled "I Don't Reward Bad Behavior" that speaks for many of us I would assume - you can read my comment on her post on this link as well...

Looks phenomenal! I remember the first entry, so much detail. And I love the second one, too! I'm imagining it as a swanky guest house on the sprawling grounds of the original estate.

Congrats on two beautiful dollhouses, job(s) well done. Whoever gets these passed down to them will be a very lucky little grand-baby. Whenever she shows up :)

Keep up the great work!

And thanks for the mention!

Your work (and Tiny's) is amazing. The amount of detail is impressive. I'm really sorry to hear how poorly this whole thing has been handled. Hopefully Henderson will come back with a valid excuse/reason.

Hi, i popped over here after reading your comment at large and in charge. I did not participate in the challenge and would have blissfully unaware of everyones' efforts. Your work looks amazing and I am surprised you said you had no knowledge of the hobby prior to the challenge off to check on your reveals now. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, your work is just AMAZING. I'm in awe of your talent. I wasn't really aware of the contest but I think it's a shame that so much incredible time, expense and talent has gone unrewarded. (Epic fail, Emily!) At least you've got these gorgeous pieces in your home to enjoy so swings and roundabouts as they say...

I actually considered doing this ... I read about it on your blog. My mom had a passion for dollhouses and thought it might be a fun thing for us to do together. I realized quickly that I could not afford the time to do it right. I followed your reveals and build up the whole time ... and didn't realize it was never brought to any closure. That is a bummer ... but YOU created two gorgeous houses and I thank you for sharing with us!

Just read the open letter. I had no idea that 83 people were involved.
